Igniting the Leadership Journey
The Regional Event Lead Co-Learning Program is designed to empower and connect event leads from official Burning Man Regional Events with experienced Black Rock City event leads. This initiative supports peer-to-peer learning, enabling both matched event leads to deepen their event management skills and build stronger ties within the Burning Man community.
What is the Co-Learning Program?
The Regional Event Lead Co-Learning program (formerly the Regional Event Lead Mentorship program) began informally in 2015 and has since evolved to become a key resource for event leads around the world. It provides a unique opportunity to shadow experienced Burning Man staff in Black Rock City (BRC) and share with each other valuable insights into successful event management. This experience includes attending orientations and engaging in hands-on activities to enhance program participant leadership skills.
Program Goals
The Co-Learning Program focuses on:
- Building Expertise: Connecting regional event leads with Black Rock City event leads who have similar roles, allowing for an exchange of knowledge and best practices.
- Fostering Global Connections: Strengthening relationships between Black Rock city and Regional Event leads, creating a robust network of leaders.
- Enhancing Local Events: Equipping event leads with the tools and insights to elevate their Regional Event, contributing to the global Burning Man experience.
