Regional Community
The San Diego Regional Burning Man community, encompassing San Diego proper as well as having a close relationship with Orange County, and additionally often working with the Burner community in Los Angeles, is served by three Regional Contacts.
San Diego is a vibrantly creative and welcoming community with many opportunities for joining in collaborative efforts, supported by our non-profit board, San Diego Collaborative Arts Project (SDCAP), and otherwise. Besides our official Burning Man Regional event, YOUtopia, there are year round events at colab, a local space for both community and art building. We have a very active online forum, primarily via Facebook, where people enthusiastically participate in sharing discussions and organizing events. San Diego hosts multiple and varied meet-up opportunities, such as a monthly Wednesday night meet and greet, or our fire-performing Conclave.
