Join us for an inspiring evening of discussion and discovery as we dive into the world of Burning Man theme camps!
Our guest speakers, Louis Reinhardt and Leah Drullinger—experienced theme camp leaders—will share their insights into what it takes to build and sustain a successful camp, covering everything from navigating logistical challenges to fostering a strong community. They will explore the essentials of theme camp participation, including expectations, the 10 Principles in practice, and how to get involved.
Following their presentation, we’ll open the floor for a dynamic Q&A and open forum, giving attendees the opportunity to exchange ideas, ask questions, and connect with fellow Burners. Whether you’re a seasoned burner, a first-time participant, or simply curious about the culture, this meetup is your chance to learn, share, and get inspired!
About Our Speakers
I’m thrilled to welcome Louis Reinhardt and Leah Drullinger to this discussion! As residents of the Treasure Valley, they have served as camp leads for “Bad Education” for the past three years.
In 2024, Burning Man Placement accepted approximately 1,290 theme camps. Louis and Leah were among the select few camp leaders invited by Burning Man Project to sit on the “So You Want to Start a Theme Camp” panel. They also led a workshop at the 2025 Burning Man Project Camp Symposium, sharing their expertise with the broader community.
Louis and Leah embody warmth and kindness. Their energy and passion for our community is infectious!
Rather than share too much now, I’ll let you experience their insight firsthand at our meetup!
Please arrive on time.
