Iowa

Burners are located throughout Iowa – from Sioux City to the Quad Cities – and everywhere in between! We are united by a passion for the interactive arts, fire performance, and camp outs together at many burns in the Midwest as well as in Black Rock City.

Iowa is defined by its  hospitiable, united statewide community and always looking for more people to join with us for fun, art, play and exploration. We are an actively changing and morphing community.  We invite you to come be a part of it and add you unique energy to the whole.  

There are events such 10  principals in action. These events give  participants the opportunity to explore one of the 10 principals in a unique interactive first hand way.  

We have other meet-ups throughout the year and we have an official regional burn, HearthsOPhyre that began (unofficially) in 2011. For this year 2022, HearthsOPhyre will be held in Conesville, Iowa about 30 minutes south of Iowa City in the Southeast corner of the state. This year's (2022)  HoP will be September 22-25.
