Every Thursday Rochester Makerspace is free and open to the public. After a great meeting with the owners, we see lots of potential for collaboration. Join your fellow Burners Thursday, February 27th from 6-9 to check it out! See what they are about, explore the available tools, collaborate on communal projects, or bring your own projects to work on! For more information on the tools available and a more in depth look at what they do, visit http://www.rochestermakerspace.org/
The space is a bit tricky to find. From St. Paul, turn on Scrantom St. and continue to the rear parking lot and enter the building through the door that has the blue sign on it, or through the loading dock if its doors are open. Once inside, turn left. The space is in the left rear corner of the building (when looking at the back of the building).
The Rochester Makerspace is a nonprofit community workshop and artist studio that provides affordable access to a wide variety of tools, work space, and resources to creators of diverse backgrounds. We also host a variety of classes and workshops in the fine and industrial arts.
Some activities ever-present in our space include:
Machining and Metal Work
And Much More!
All are welcome to attend. So please visit our thriving community of artists, craftsmen, hobbyists, modelers, crafters, engineers, and other makers.
