Just a reminder, you (and anyone else you bring) need to sign up on this form in advance, the event is advance tickets only, no walk-ins.
We will have live music and a fabulous effigy that you can help paint and decorate before it burns!
This event is a benefit for multiple causes, so don’t pay in advance, feel free to throw any donation you like in any of several hats, each dedicated to different causes. If you want some or all of your donation to go to Burners Without Borders for hurricane relief, please bring a check made out to “Burners without Borders”.
Looking forward to seeing you there, to reflect, celebrate, share, and taste the desert vibe!

Hello fellow Burners,
You might want to mark your calendars for an event Saturday Oct 21st. This will be an event at the BurningSNOW Center for all Burners and like-minded people to gather and re-live a bit of the Playa. We will have food and drink, entertainment, videos, merriment, art pieces and an Effigy.
We are not calling it a “Decompression” this time because all the proceeds will be going to specific projects. We will put out four hats for donations (yes, they will be real hats!) and you can donate a few bucks into any or all of these projects as you see fit.
–One hat will be for Clevian Camp infrastructure. As you might know we took quite a hit from that storm cell, with two shade structures damaged and one totalled. Plus, some lighting effects and wiring was broken. Bob’s and Daves’s structures are salvageable but Eric G’s was a total loss and had to be bought again. Toss in a couple bucks if you like.
–Another hat will be for Shack of Sit infrastructure. Our stuff crashed over into the shade structure of our neighbor Dreamy (the guy who brings us the fabulous Embigginator) and his structure was severely bent and his tent ripped open too. Toss in a couple bucks here if you like.
–Another hat will be for the fabulous new Snowflake… which amazingly survived the wind! So many of you helped out by building parts of it, donating things, coming to the Build Meetings, and raising it up out there in the dust. Thank you so much! For anyone who feels like it, I will put up a bulletin board with about 20 receipts on it, everything from the LED strings to little bags of bolts. Feel free to write your name on any receipt and throw some bucks in the hat, now YOU are the one who donated the clear tubes, or the bolts, or the can of paint to make it happen…. it takes a hundred little things to make a big project like this happen, it is all important, it is all appreciated, and it is your Snowflake too.
–Last, but definitely not least, another hat for Burners Without Borders. While we are sitting here complaining about our losses from the wind, there are millions of people who got it far worse than we can imagine. Without even water or power. We are happy to accept any checks made out to “Burners Without Borders,” in that hat and they will go straight into the waiting envelope and off to their H.Q.
Our event theme will be: “….for the Wind” and I think our effigy will be an angry wind-god… whom we will burn up right good.
Hope to see you on the 21st, and more details later.
