What makes the Enchanted Hearth Farm enchanted? Is it the newborn piglets? The smell of the autumn air away from the city?
No—the peace of the country can be found in many places, but the real enchantment comes from the people that share it, our tribe. A community of friends, farmers and artists coming together to support each other and stay connected to the Earth.
On November 1-3, we at Enchanted Hearth partnering with the Wisconsin Fire Mavens, are going to be having a gathering of the tribe to create some new memories, eat some good food, and make one big last push to prep the land for the winter (so the animals survive!)
What’s on the Agenda?
We don’t have a strict agenda, but we do have a lot of things we’re going to be working on this weekend:
-Possibly some construction projects: More info will be coming soon
-Building a medicinal garden
-Final Harvests and Food Processing (and hopefully some instruction on fermentation and canning)
-Cooking food for the hungry workers
-Buttoning down the farm for the winter
-Preparing firewood for evening fires
-Possibly some fall planting
-More to come
We will be providing some food, and asking for some potlucks items to be provided for certain meals. There will be a sign up sheet for kitchen help and requests for food items to be shared- please check back often here as the meal list will be posted in the coming weeks. You are welcome to camp, or set up a camper on the property for the weekend. We request that friends bring stories, games, and instruments to play around the fire in the evenings. If anyone would like to lead a team, teach a workshop, create an offering, or just wants to be instrumental in creating a lovely and productive event, please PM me so I can add it to the agenda, and you to our team chat.
We can’t wait to see you and yours at our enchanted hearth,
Signed, Tiffany, Tom, Sarah & Elliott
