Potentially the coldest burn on earth, with temps overnight of 7 degrees Fahrenheit (-14C) last year, our latest addition to the Colorado Burn family has been gaining attention. Now in its 5th year, the steering group is more excited than a wheelbarrow of monks about what the Rocky Mountains will throw at us this year. This event takes place at ~9000 feet in March and has shown everything from sunny 70 degree days to 18 inches of fresh powder. The pristine land CBE is occupying this year has been home to several Burns and non-Burns and is currently only allowing 4 events a year. Why should you attempt this adventure, because it is like a badge of honor. Sure you can thrive in the heat. Can you survive when the temps dip WAY below zero without a fire? You heard correct, due to the extreme danger of forest fires our event permit allows no open fires(judged by the fuel). No wood will burn but CBE will tear through propane like it is our job. So if you think you can hack it bring your art, bring your tunes, bring your hardest core friends and participate. Any questions? Check out denverburners.org and start preparing unlike you ever have.
