The Burnal Equinox is an arts and cultural event held in locations all over the world. It marks the halfway point to the next Burning Man event, which is held over Labor Day each year in Nevada. It is a chance, in the dark of winter, to celebrate Burner culture – interactive art, music, performance, workshops and more.
This year’s event features a special pre-event performance of It’s a Beautiful Wound, written and performed by Rich Orloff, a burner family member. It is the true story of Rich’s adventures in underground therapy using MDMA (a.k.a. Ecstasy) and psilocybin mushrooms. Rich has generously volunteered to donate all proceeds of his performance to POrtalBurn for Art Grants.
