14th Annual 100Daze Party – 2014 – May 17

May 17, 2014 @ 1:00 pm - May 18, 2014 @ 12:00 pm

There is plenty of street parking, but PLEASE DO NOT PARK in front of, or on anyone’s driveway!   This is an Arizona Burners Event.

Please DO NOT post this invitation in other places (except the AZBurner/Burner Facebook groups) or invite people who are not interested in the Burning Man culture.

Time: The event officially starts at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Staying over on Sunday to hang out and help clean up is also encouraged. Event ends at Noon Sunday, go home unless you have made prior arrangements with Dr. Bob.

Immediate needs: We would like some rangers or other responsible people to be “on staff” for this event. We expect the community to be self-policing, however we would like people to specifically watch for problems such as party crashers and underage drinkers.   LNT organizers are also needed, both to make a few signs and organize during post event to clean up.

Show us your stuff! – As this is a Burning Man style event please participate if you can. Feel free to bring any art, fire toys (there is an awesome dedicated area for this and great for pictures!) or party favors, costumes, etc. If you plan on doing fire art, please check with the host in advance.   DJs will be needed, as well as sound equipment. There will be a designated, covered, area for setup that will help keep the equipment protected (i.e. – the setup will be in DR. Bob’s laboratory and the DJ and speakers will face out the French doors onto the back patio, at the bar area). DJs that are on duty, it will be your responsibility to not allow anyone into the room when you’re there.   The party is restricted to the outside rear of the property, the kitchen and living room.

There will be porta-potties for everyone’s use. The rest of the house (with the exception of the laboratory for use by the DJs) is off limits to all except the residents.

You will all ABSOLUTELY LOVE the venue! It is all Polynesian resort style decor and perfect for our Burner parties!   There is a tiki style hot tub for anyone’s use. Anything goes in there, but please use good judgment.   Please be aware that there is a 6,000 gallon koi pond in the party space, so please DO NOT mess with the fish, throw/pour anything into the water or wade/swim in the water. If you do, you will be asked to leave.   If you would like to contribute art, music, fire, video, so on and so forth, please contact: Dr. Bob rlstudio(at)hotmail(dot)com

Guests: Please use your best judgment when inviting other individuals. If you have 1 or 2 friends that you would like to introduce into the Burner Community, please bring them, but please understand this is a private residence.

Dress Code and age: Use your best Playa etiquette, playa attire HIGHLY recommended, but not required. Nudity is also allowed anywhere past the front door but only after 8 p.m. Remember, nudity does not mean sex, don’t touch without permission. Same goes for photographs. If skin is showing ask first.   This event has an established age limit of 21 years and older unless accompanied by a person 21 and over and is their legal guardian. Anyone under the age of 18 will be asked to leave after 8 p.m. If you or a guest is under 18 or 21 please check in with the host beforehand. We will be selectively carding people that we don’t know. Those persons under 21 who are not with a responsible person 21 or over will not be admitted entrance. We will make every attempt to be inclusive, but we also have to protect ourselves from legal consequences. Remember it is a Burner party, clothing is optional and often with adult activity.

Food/Beverage: 100 Daze is a BYO Everything event. Please bring everything you will need for the time you expect to stay – food, beverages, alcohol, ice, plates and cups, clothing, bedding, carpets, tents, music, toys, fire, firewood, furry stuff, whatever strikes your fancy.   There will be a propane BBQ grill at your disposal. If you are planning to stay over until Sunday, the kitchen will be available for breakfast. Please bring eggs, bacon, or anything else you like for morning, but PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, clean up during and after cooking!   There is limited refrigerator space so coolers are a good idea.

Crash Space: Please do not drive impaired. There is a fair amount of crash space, snuggle room, floor space in the lanai and on the deck area.   Please bring a folding chair if you wish to sit, as there will not be enough seating for a couple hundred people Please bring firewood because there are lots of firepots to light!!   House rules: Please respect all posted rules.

LEAVE NO TRACE, no, seriously, LEAVE NO TRACE. The large, exotic koi collection does not drink or smoke. They would probably appreciate the offer, but if you force them it will result in you leaving the party.   Respect our neighbors. Do not throw anything over the walls or go peaking into their properties. We have AWESOME neighbors (who will probably be attending) so please don’t piss them off!
