Regional Community
The Bruleurs de Montreal Burners are based in and around the city of Montreal, Quebec. We hold monthly Burner Potlucks, occasional Drink Nights, picnics, and fundraisers, plus an annual Information Session for new Burners (aka "Virgin Night"). We have a non-profit called "L'Organisme de décompression des Brûleurs de Montreal", which holds two official Burning Man events each year: an annual five-day camp-out in June, "L'OsstidBurn", and our annual Decompression event, taBURNak!, usually held in February.
Montreal Burners have been known to create major fire art installations for Burning Man — most memorably Fire Tetris in 2015 — and communal sculptures such as PORTAGE in 2012.
Montreal Burners also participate in numerous Regional events such as SideBurn, Firefly, Lakes of Fire, and Love Burn. Of course many of us are also involved in a wide array of cultural activities in Montreal as well.
